Refreshing education concepts

life is growth and recycling of knowledge

If we must learn, we should learn to feed ourselves and each other with good food.
If we must learn, we should learn to feed ourselves and each other with good food.

Growing a healthy and flourishing mind

We all eat. Where does our food come from? No, it doesn't come from the super market. I don't know where it comes from, because I am only just beginning to get a good education. But if I had a good education, I would be able to show you where it comes from and how to get some for yourself, your friends, your family and your neighbors. We need to learn more about food. Our children need to learn more about food, and the more we have to share, the more we will appreciate the magic of life; the wisdom of life.

Knowledge is food. Not only our mouths, but our eyes consume food, and our ears and our thoughts. There are many kinds of food and we are creating food for other living things to consume every moment of our lives. This is one of the miracles of life. We produce life, even as we consume life. What is life? Just kidding. Now we're getting too philosophical. Let me know how you like the meal. Too much salt? A little more balsamic vinegar?

Feed your children well. Find out what works for them by doing the best you can to encourage them to appreciate the wonders of life. As they begin to see what is working for them, they will see what is working for others, and be inspired to feed others well. When your children have a desire to share, they are getting the idea.

Let's plant some gardens. Get the kids involved. Tell them about what different kinds of nutrition come from each food and how they grow. Let's show them some farms where food is made and tell them how different people in other countries get their food, especially native indigenous people. If we don't know we'll just have to grow, and watch the garden for answers. Every young child should have a basic knowledge of plants and nutrition. As they grow, so will their understanding and soon they will have a lot to teach us, and feed us. How many of us grew up eating things that we grew in our own garden. The more the better, the healthier we will become.

As we learn about the garden we have a growing interest in the earth and all of the elements. Now we have a reason and a frame of reference to learn all about physics and chemistry because biology is giving us an appetite for more food. Suddenly nature is at the same time dynamic and navigable. Where we are going, who's to say? But at least we have some ideas about what we're looking at.

1) Planting and gardening help us to develop a close relationship with life itself.

2) Growth and reproduction show us what is going on in our bodies and communities.

3) Life cycles and the entire eco-system become a perpetual pattern throughout the universe.

Major things that effect our lives in today's world are our habits, our environment, our friends and acquaintances, our motivations and every day occurrences. problems that develop and shape our lives often are determined by customs, traditions, laws, and positions of power and influence held by those around us who one way or another effect our lives. Because of the governmental systems that exist right now, there is pressure on landowners to pay taxes and a huge demand for deliverable food and essential living supplies like toiletries and medicine. Travel is a major human concern so transportation and energy systems are important and of course most of us use a lot of electricity so electrical systems are very important as well.

1) School should be a place to learn about health, from different points of view, including medicine, exercise, mental health, and a variety of basic principles of healing

2) School should prepare us for the world as it is by teaching us about current customs, traditions and especially existing legal systems and positions of authority in government. The more we know about what's going on the better chance we have to prosper and thrive.

3) School should make us aware of the strengths and weaknesses of our communities, what resources are available to the people and how to make use of local goods and services.

4) School should be a community cultural hub where the people can interact and learn from each other. Government and school should be interdependent and evolving; never stagnant.

5) School should not be regimented, strictly controlled or following a set curriculum. It should be organic and fluid, like a living thing so that it complements and caters to natural growth. So, everything written here should remain open for development and improvement.
